Energy healer, spiritual and multi-career workaholic with a few burn outs under her belt is how I started out!
My doctor had issued a stern directive that I was not going to have the option of more ‘happy’ pills but rather 2 weeks bed rest with my phone switched off. My real estate career would need to be put on hold and either be there for me when I got out of bed or not.
Well, it wasn’t! I walked into one of Patrick’s workshops and announced to him that I was jobless. Mostly unfazed by this realisation as it percolated through me, I began to wonder how I would know what the next step was for me. That’s when the panic set in.
At the end of the workshop, I summoned the courage to speak to Patrick. I stood there lost for words. Eventually, I bungled my way through some set of sounds that communicated to Patrick that I just didn’t know what to do with my life. He closed his eyes and said, ‘You will KNOW what it is, and you WILL have the discipline and determination to do it’.
I would love to say that this was a happy ending and that I returned filled with unwavering faith that allowed me to sit back and ‘stop stressing’, but I wasn’t.
The next few months were spent impatiently waiting for something to click and feel right. Hours spent introspecting and dissecting my life till that point. What did I WANT to do? I had had successful careers in IT support, IT training, hospitality and real estate. I had always had my healing and faith but not always my health; yet, something was going right!
About 4 years ago, I had chosen to go and help ‘heal a horse’. I went out on such a limb here! My husband and I were sharing a car and he was using it and as soon as I had sent the message to offer an extra set of healing hands I was sick, sick to the pit of my stomach! I phoned my husband and told him I was off to heal a horse and then asked my parents if I could borrow their car to go heal a horse! Yes!! Those were the words I used!!! Bless them, they just know when to not question their daughter and they drove round with a car for me to use. On my way to the stable and didn’t have a clue what I was going to do. I settled for sitting in side the stable and sending as much love to Pluto as possible. I can’t remember the details, but I do know that this was the night that Amrita and I first had contact. The vets had said that there was no hope for the horse and that they would give him the night, but he would be shot in the morning. He had eaten avocado leaves and his body was battling the toxins. He had a huge oedema and his lungs were filled with fluid. Amrita told us to carry on doing what we were doing and to stay in touch, but she was ‘looking after him’. Against all odds and with a team of dedicated humans, near and far 😊, he made it!
A few days later I plucked up the courage to message Amrita and asked her if she would take me on and help me with my personal health issues. She graciously said yes and now I understand when she says, ‘Don’t worry, I’m looking after ….’. . From silly aches, to lousy nagging pain, to desperate tears over a sick animal, court cases and frustration attacks taken out on unsuspecting furniture, she has been there.
I had no idea that a few years later a chance question about ‘Zoom’ would lead us to this. A chance to be a part of something that uses a little bit of everything I’ve been through in my life for others. I run with the technical side of anatomy and scanning and am learning to be a healer just like everyone else. I have a loving biker husband who I help run a mine with. I am a fur mum to 3 dogs, a cat and a parrot. It’s an exciting, unexpected journey filled with ups and downs and I’m loving every minute of it!
